WEDNESDAY Reflections
Guidelines
to live with God:
1. Blameless
2. Does what is right
3. Truthful
4. Doesn’t slander
5. Despises evil
6. Honors those that fear God
7. Always keeps their word
8. Doesn’t charge interest(there
is more to this*)
9. Won’t accept bribes
Thankfully we have
forgiveness in Jesus. Thankfully the Holy Spirit can teach us to walk this way
and thus we don’t have to fall.
*God didn’t
allow fellow Jews to charge interest to one another when they borrowed money.
The idea behind this was if a fellow Israelite was in bad straits and needed to
borrow money a person wasn’t to make money on their misfortune.
Psa 15:1-5
(1) A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
(2) He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
(3) He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
(4) In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
(5) He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
